QUICK GAMES for FUN & FITNESS - (two hours to a half day) This is the session that has ignited my passion for sharing with fellow professionals. Quick Games for Fun & Fitness has been shared at the Shape America National Expo three times. An evolving collection of instant activities, lead-ups and large group games that will re-energize your program. Indoors or outside, participants learn how to maximize student participation while including all populations K-12. Large group movement activities involving cooperation, social interaction and smooth transitions from one activity to the next are the hallmark of the session's instructional design. The high level of student engagement and sustainability provide many activities ideal for teachers to use on a daily basis and as lessons when teachers are absent from school. Participants and attendees leave with dozens of new approaches to reach their students. These are essential organizational activities for those who lead people through movement!
Secondary Technology Tools for Health & Physical Education - Educators learn how to use student-centered and teacher-centered programs to streamline learning as students utilize Chromebooks, Ipads, PCs and other devices while integrating Google Classroom, Blackboard and other LMSs. Formative and summative assessments, communication, curriculum, an organizational calendar, critical thinking games, fitness workouts, and a teenager written publication highlight the tools shared in this 90-minute session. The beginner (non-digital native) to the Google-certified trainer walk away with ideas and means to help students of all educational levels move to their potential and numerous ways to expand their own professional learning network.
